I know Rosé is all the rage this summer, but I have a hard time drinking wine when it’s really hot outside, even if it’s chilled wine. Even if it’s pink. So, being the resourceful, DIY-type person I am, I came up with the perfect solution: FROSÉ. So, it’s Rosé, in keeping with the Top 2019 Coolest Summer Beverage Trends, but with a little something extra. And that something extra is: blended ice, and frozen fruit. Anything to up the coolness quotient, but, like, temperature wise. Here’s the recipe I’ve developed over the course of the summer. A lot of research has gone into this. (Measurements are completely approximate.)
- 1 Bottle of Rosé Wine
- ⅓ Bag Organic, Chopped, Frozen Mango
- Fresh Mint Leaves
- ¼ Cup Frozen Organic Limeade Concentrate
(I use a Vitamix blender, which seems to be imperative to accomplishing the perfect slushed-ice consistency.)
- Add mango, limeade, and mint to the blender
- Add the bottle of wine
- Fill the remainder of the blender (to the max line) with ice.
- Carry to pleasant seating area outside
- Be happy
