5 Awesome Baby Products I Don’t Regret Splurging On
I wanted to break down for you guys the baby products I DON’T regret splurging on. Because, let’s be honest, having a baby is NOT CHEAP. That said, I spend so much of my time managing budgets (client budgets, construction budgets, design budgets) that I can’t help but think about what’s gonna give me “bang for my buck.” Even when it comes to shopping for Hazel!
There are a few things I spent money on (like a LOT of money, in my opinion) THAT I ACTUALLY DON’T REGRET. **And just cause I know I’ll get some questions, this post is in no way sponsored. I actually bought these products and actually really like them.** Also, if you’re wondering what things I DO regret buying, I talked about those in this blog post.
Baby Products I Don’t Regret Splurging On
1. SNOO Smart Sleeper
If you follow me on social, you see me posting videos of little Hazel waking up in the morning. At just 2 months old, she’s sleeping from about 9:30pm to 4:30am, then back to sleep until 7:15am because of this bassinet. For all you new parents (or future parents): when baby sleeps, life is good. And because of this Smart Sleeper, LIFE IS GOOD. It calms her with white noise of varying levels, soothes her with motion that ranges from light rocking all the way to a bumpy car ride, and when she gets older it will keep her on her back, which gives Brett and I peace of mind. She’ll sleep in this until about 6 months old and it has a self-weaning feature for when we transition her to the crib. The idea is that the bassinet replicates what she was used to in the womb and it makes the transition to sleeping in a crib a little easier. I can’t recommend this highly enough!
2. Doona Carseat & Stroller
This is seriously the carseat/stroller of the future, you guys. So, for those of you that are new to the game, this is a stroller/car seat that’s all in one. That’s right, you put it into your car without having to detach anything or put anything in the trunk. It’s like the transformer of the baby world. Hazel also loves it and it has great safety ratings. I love, love, love this product!
3. Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail
Is there anything less sexy to spend money on than a diaper trash can? I think not! This is the diaper pail that we bought (there are actually more expensive options) and I think it works great.
4. Jogging Stroller
Finally, 12 weeks after birth (6 weeks normal recovery, then 6 weeks follow-up surgery recovery), I was ready to start working out again. Hazel is just old enough to go into a jogging stroller sometimes as well. I did my homework and this jogging stroller is the one we ended up with. Race ya!
5. Baby Carrier
Not sure if you remember, but Brett and I tried on a LOT of baby carriers. I really like the carrier we ended up with, and I know Hazel will be able to grow into it as well. We’ve been taking her up to the beach in this one and it makes it so easy!
