When Anthony and Liz from Episode 4 of my HGTV show HELP! I Wrecked My House landed on a rustic industrial farmhouse design style for their renovation project, I was pretty excited. It's a look...
My Holiday House: The Entryway, Stairwell and Main Bedroom
I wanted to show you guys a few more corners of my happy Holiday House: the entryway, stairwell and main bedroom. Even though I’ve been traveling a lot for work this week, looking back and linking all these items has really kept me in the Christmas spirit. If you missed it, I also shared the holiday decorations in my kitchen, the front of my house and Brett’s office, and the dining room and Christmas tree.
For my entryway, I restyled my shelves and I went with a “happy home” theme, so much so that I literally bought little house figurines. I searched high and low, and these are my favorite ones I found. Just click on each one to shop.
As filler I used poinsettias, gold pinecones from Target, and greenery in baskets. I focused on pops of gold and green and everything got twinkle lights.
Even as I’m posting this photo, I realize I’ve never properly talked about this word search mural in my stairwell. So this is me promising in the New Year to tell you all about it, but for now I can tell you it was hand painted by my friends over at Look Signs. And if you’re wondering, Hazel’s play area doesn’t always look this clean. Literally right after this photo was taken, the tornado known as Hazel Roth came through. It’s impressive how a tiny human can make such a mess – I wish I had a picture to show you!
This was the first year I decided to put Christmas decorations in our bedroom, and I had this wreath wall idea in the middle of the night. It turned out super cute!
All I did was take down the existing photos and used the same nails and some Command Hooks to create the wreath wall. I’ll definitely be doing this next year, too.
