If you'd told me I'd be eating 3 meals a day with my 8-month-old baby (plus feeding her a 4 bottles a day) I wouldn't have believed you! But alas, here we are, and I can't wait to share all the...

It’s no secret that one of my favorite paint colors is a pretty deep green. I’ve used the same deep green paint color a few times on my show Hidden Potential, and every time I do, I hear rave reviews! It’s easy to see why everyone else loves this color: it’s a little bit bold and interesting, without being too out-of-the-box. It gives a space just the right amount of edge and warmth while working well with neutral hues. It’s kind of the perfect accent color, if you think about it!
In feeding my deep green paint color obsession, I started looking around for the ULTIMATE deep green. Because, as you know, not all paint colors are created equal. And my jaw hit the floor when I found Clare Paint‘s version of a deep green – it’s called “Current Mood.” Guys, this post isn’t even an ad, I just NEED to tell you how beautiful color this is. It’s a fangirl post, really – ha!
And looking back at my past projects, for the most part I only seem to use this color on doors (cabinet doors included). But I’m all in with this “Current Mood” paint color – I’m super excited to try it on walls now, not just doors! People change, okay? Anyway if you know me enough by now, you know I already created mood boards using this color. I just can’t help it! Which one of these is your fave?!
Faux Mohair Throw Blanket // Bell Pendant Light // Medallion Loomed Area Rug // 3-Piece Sectional
Ceramic Subway Tile // Globe Pendant Light // Overdyed Area Rug // Set of 2 Counter Stools
Wooden Accent Lamp // Mango Wood Mirror // Striped Coverlet & Shams // Linen Slipcover Bed
Do you guys have a favorite paint color?! Something that is super classic, and looks great in so many different ways? You know I love to find new ones for the homes I remodel, so give ’em all to me!
I love a good green, I had a lovely deep green notebook with a gold bumble bee on it and I loved the colour so much I took the notebook to my local paint store and asked them to make it up and painted a feature wall with it in my living room! Also found a foot stool months later the same green colour with gold legs – meant to be! 💚
Loving that color of green! So pretty. We just painted our master bath & cabana bath cabinetry Benjamin Moore Backwoods & I just love it!
Where can this beautiful paint be purchased? My favorite paint colors are many different shades of green too and I’m liking gray.
Hi! The company is called Clare 🙂

I love Sherwin-Williams’ Copen Blue! I don’t think online photos do it justice. IRL it’s almost incandescent. It’s beachy and happy!
I used Copen Blue in my guest room…love, love, love it! You are right, online example does not reflect the in home wall color.
Looks similar to the Hunter Green that as so popular in the 90s. Love it! May have to use this color to redo my sofa table,or maybe my kitchen table, or maybe BOTH!!
A wee bit of Irish truth. Growing up, my mother, being 100% Irish, had wallpaper in every shade of green plus any walls that were painted were a different color of green. I still remember cleaning the wallpaper with the pink stuff that was like a giant eraser but, I don’t remember the name of it.
I hope you enjoy my little journey of the past about my sweet mom who’s been in Heaven now for 39 years and my dad 45 years.
Love your show and your baby is as adorable as all of our grandkids 🙂 LOL
I love the green but what is that gorgeous greige that it’s paired with?
I too love green. Right now my favorite is any shade of sage green. My bedroom is going to be that color and the bath will be a different shade, not sure if darker or lighter yet. I’d love to use subway tile but my husband hates it. Any suggestions? My home was built in the late 70’s.
I think you can never go wrong with marble – even if it’s a porcelain tile that’s printed to look like marble!
My new favorite green is Magnolia Paint’s Olive Grove. Painting our guest bathroom vanity that color. Seriously considering painting lower kitchen cabinets same color.
I am so grateful I came across your post! I am definitely using CURRENT MOOD color for my new cabinet doors! However, now I am lost trying to figure out the complementary colors to go with. I will have white trims for sure. Which color is the grey you use in the pic above (staircase) ? It just seems to paired with perfectly! Thanks!
I really like this green. IF I were to use it for kitchen cabinets what color granite would you use for countertops?
Do you know what Ubatuba looks like? We have it in our kitchen and need to paint the old yellow brown cabinets. I don’t want them to be dark. What would you suggest? We also have paneling in the breakfast area that is the same color. It is the original paint from the mid 80″s
Thanks in advance,
Carol See
Hi Jasmine! I actually ordered a sample of Current Mood from Clare about 3 weeks ago and I agree – IT’S GORGEOUS!
I ended up going with Sherwin-Williams Cascades for my project instead. If you’re not familiar with this color, you need to check it out. It’s a gorgeous deep green/deep blue/almost black color – it’s quite striking especially paired with a neutral white (I used Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace with it).
Great post!
