Registry Round Up: My Must-Read Pregnancy Books

When I first found out and shared I was pregnant, I was overwhelmed with love, support, advice…and pregnancy books! Almost immediately, books started arriving in the mail from other mothers in my life. They were eager to share things that had helped them navigate their pregnancy and prepare for the new life on the way.

As someone who always believes in being fully prepared, I got to reading immediately. I slowly started working my way through the stack whenever I had a free minute. I found helpful advice in each and every book I read, and I’ve become more and more excited about motherhood with every page I turn.

For any new mamas-to-be, here’s the list of pregnancy books I’ve found to be extremely informative and encouraging over the past eight months of R&D.

Of course, I loved the What To Eat guides! And you can’t beat a title like Eat Sleep Poop. There are a million pregnancy books out there, and sometimes wanting to know everything can lead to information overload!

As with all of the Registry Roundup posts, I’m hoping to help take some of the prenatal guess work out of the question of, “What do I need?” or, more specifically in this case, “Which pregnancy books should I read?” So, my suggestion to you is to make yourself a cup of tea, and curl up in your favorite booknook with a cozy blanket and one of these books. Or any book, really. I think I might make like a Mama and do that very thing myself. Just as soon as I finish this sentence. Done!
