My 2025 Holiday Decor: A Pink Pony Cowgirl Christmas!

This year, I’m so excited to share something a little unexpected…my Pink Pony Cowgirl Christmas theme for 2025! With two young girls in the house, I decided to fully embrace the bows, the pink, and all the shimmer I could possibly get away with. If there was ever a season to go all-in on fun, magical, little-girl-approved holiday decor, it’s this one.

And yes—before you ask—do you see the stockings?! There’s a whole story behind those.

Somewhere between searching for cowgirl Christmas decor inspiration and browsing late-night Etsy finds (as one does), I stumbled across these adorable cowboy boot–shaped ornaments. Immediately, I knew I wanted them as actual stocking for our home this Christmas! So in true DIY-meets-HGTV fashion, I decided this was my year to dive headfirst into homemade Christmas decor and sew and embroider these stockings—no matter how many finger pricks it took. Let’s just say it took…a lot. My hands were a mess, there were a few late nights involved, and the entire family got pulled into this little adventure. But when I hung them on the mantel and saw how perfectly cowgirl they turned out? Totally worth it. These stockings are one of my most memorable holiday projects yet, and the fact that they’ll be part of our Christmas 2025 traditions feels pretty special.

After years of classic neutrals and coastal Christmas moments, I wanted to try something new for my holiday decor. With my girls currently obsessed with horses, ponies, and all things pink, plus a move to Utah…a Pink Pony Cowgirl Christmas just felt right. This includes lots of bows, western-inspired details, cowboy hats in wreaths, a touch of shimmer, and let’s not forget an overload of pink! It’s girly, it’s playful, and it’s very on theme for where we are in life.

Holiday decor shouldn’t be stressful—it should feel like you. This theme might be a little wild, a little pink, and definitely not what you’d see in a traditional guide to Christmas decorating, but that’s why I love it.

This season is about making memories with my girls, enjoying the chaos, and creating a home that feels happy and imaginative.
