My Favorite Green Smoothie Recipe

You know what everyone needs to kick off the week?!  A delicious smoothie recipe, of course!  You’ve got to try my favorite green smoothie recipe… IT’S SO GOOD!  It’s straight out of Christina Haack & Cara Clark’s cookbook, The Wellness Remodel!  You can watch me make it on this Instagram video – pretty hilarious.  Anyway, since I’m always on the go for work and family stuff, having a good smoothie recipe up my sleeve is ALWAYS a pro move.  It’s like a delicious healthy meal that I can drink, and Hazel loves it too.  Win, win!  I love sharing my favorite recipes with you guys, I hope you enjoy making them.

 

My Favorite Green Smoothie Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 big handful of greens
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 4 fresh or dried figs, stemmed
  • ¼ cup raw cashews (soaked in ½ cup filtered water overnight and drained)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground cardamom
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ice (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth!  Enjoy!
