My New Favorite Flannel & Winter Shirts
December 15 2022The Roth family will be heading out to Utah after the holidays to get our snowboarding in and we’ll be doing it in style this year in our new flannel and winter shirts! If you're new here, you need to know that my family and I are huge snowboarding fans and that Hazel’s been on a board since she was 8 months old. (Check her first ride out here!) That’s right — even before she could crawl or stand Hazel was hitting the slopes and she loves every single minute of it. She’s come a long way because this is what she looks like now. My whole heart.
When we’re in Utah enjoying the snow and our winter fun, we obviously like to stay cozy and warm since we’re outside for so many hours every day. So I decided I needed to add a few cute, sturdy pieces that we all could use to stay warm and have plenty of outdoor time with. These winter-ready pieces are just coming in now, but I wanted to show you what’s arrived in the shop so far.
Everybody loves a good flannel, especially Brett. He actually helped me choose a flannel shirt for the whole family by inspecting it for fit, softness and high performance. And by that I mean the shirt stands up to a lot of washing and drying.
I have to tell you that I love this particular plaid and the color combinations. It’s kind of hip lumberjack on guys and looks great with a beard (ha ha!). Brett hasn’t taken this shirt off since it arrived, usually wearing it over a t-shirt. When I wear it, I really like the shirtail boyfriend style because it looks great with jeans, leggings or even belted California-style with a long skirt. Ankle booties or snow boots optional. And in case you’re wondering, Brett’s wearing a Size L and I’m a Size S.
Now I love this flannel shirt as much as Brett does, but I already have my Blue Run and Back Country shirts on heavy rotation. Why? Because I can’t resist a cozy, oversized shirt that’s hard-working and versatile, especially when it comes in gorgeous colors like teal and deep orange. When I’m wearing one of these, I’m a warm and happy camper.
We also have two new cozy beanies, plus toddler and kids’ sizes in our Workwear tees, so grab yours while they last. Be sure to take some time during the holidays to plan some outside adventures with your family. The great outdoors are always calling so get out there and have some fun!
