HGTV Jasmine Roth Perfect Paint and Trim Combinations

Does your brain start get a little fuzzy when thinking about the perfect paint and trim combinations for your home? I get it! It’s easy to think about choosing a wall color, but once you remember that a wall color needs to go well with your trim, picking paint suddenly feels a little intimidating. I’ve shared with you guys some of my favorite interior paint colors before, but I recently became obsessed with the paint company Clare. Their colors are so beautiful, I was inspired to pick some new favorites and pair them with trim colors (this isn’t an ad, I just love their paint!).

This is a question I get a LOT from you guys – what trim colors should you pair with your wall colors –  along with recommendations for a few bold wall colors. I also know some of you might be working with a home that has beautiful original molding you might not want to paint over (or stain-grade trim or molding), so I’ve included a couple stain options as well.

To sum it up, I’ve listened to you! I’ve pulled together seven different paint and trim combinations that would go beautifully together. Also, keep in mind that your trim should be the same color throughout your house if you want your design to be cohesive. Just a tried and true personal preference of mine! Which combo of these is your favorite?!

I love the tranquil blue green and oak! What sheen do you recommend for walls and trim?

    Hi Jasmine,
I also found a paint color I love called Healing Aloe by Benjamin Moore. It is as tranquil as it’s name implies and I feel so peaceful when I am in the living room where I used it. I plan on using it in my bedroom cuz it’s that good! I have medium stained trim all through the house which is a colonial built in the 50’s. It goes very well with that trim. My color scheme incorporates a little blue as well. I never thought of mixing this color scheme but after watching HGTV I have been inspired to stretch out of my comfort zone!!

The teal and white rock! Then, I would have to buy all new furniture to match accordinging.
Number five it is! Just need a “Color Splash” of something. Pillows, rugs, plant pots & macrame yard?
    Thanks for the tip!

Love your colors & I especially love the trim in a darker color than the walls it is so striking if that make sense. Thanks for the info.
