3 Tablescapes for A Dinner with Those You LoveFebruary 01 2023
One of my favorite activities is gathering with friends and family and enjoying a meal together. We may be celebrating a special occasion or just having dinner to catch up, but either way I love to elevate the get together with a festive tablescape. When it comes to entertaining, I’m all about finding ways to include elevated design touches while still keeping it simple.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to decorate the table and set the scene for your next dinner party.
Girls Get Together
Invite your girlfriends over and host a brunch or dinner to celebrate your friendship—did someone say Galentine’s Day?! Make it extra special with a pretty tablescape layered with taper candles, flowers, and elegant placemats. Toss up a salad and serve it in our Loch Footed Bowl and end things on a sweet note with a yummy dessert displayed on the Blair Cake Stand.
Wine and Cheese Night
Make any night a party with tasty hors d'oeuvres and a bottle of wine. Set up the food and drinks on the dining table or kitchen island so everyone can gather around and easily serve themselves. Our Tanner Entertaining Board is perfect for displaying delicious charcuterie. Serve it up using elegant knives like the La Colonia Cheese Utensils. For the drinks, keep things easy and mess-free with stemless wine glasses and a sophisticated bottle holder.
I love a good game night. Whether you’re playing cards or a competitive board game, or even watching sports together, it’s a chance to snack on appetizers and spend quality time with those you love. If you’re gathering around the dinner table for a boar-d game, or in the living room to hang by the TV, go for group-friendly serveware like the Colby Tray and Ayla Chip and Dip Basket. Have some cute coasters ready like our Sadie Trivet and Coaster Set, and mix up a festive drink in our Buoy Pitcher.
I hope these tablescapes and dinner party ideas inspire you the next time you’re hosting a get together with family and friends. Shop more The Shop by Jasmine Roth entertaining essentials here.
