My Very First Holiday Collection

My Very First Holiday Collection

This has been such a fantastic year and I can’t help but feel so incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given. Between relaunching my new shop, finishing up another season of ‘Help! I Wrecked My House’ and guest editing the October issue of HGTV Magazine, you might guess that I’m finished for the year. Nope – the holidays are here and I’m ready!

I’m so excited to announce that my very first Holiday Collection is live today. The Roth family gathers all year round with friends and family, but this year’s celebrations are extra special. We got to share holiday treats, meals, and traditions at our family cabin and set the stage for new traditions for the years to come.

My Holiday collection focuses on happy decor, with a modern California twist. Yes, you’ll see some traditional colors here and there, but mainly you’ll be treated to a fresh new holiday palette that works wonderfully with any design story. Think organic and natural textures, wood tones and greenery and of course, some rattan and natural woven pieces.

The other part of the holiday season I really wanted to lean into was timeless entertaining and serving pieces because, to me, that’s what the holidays are all about – baking, family time in the kitchen whipping up some great meals and gathering together at a candlelit table to toast to all of our friends, family and successes this past year.

You can see the entire collection here, but in the meantime, I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces with you so you can see them in action and maybe even get some gift inspiration. Here we go!

Stockings Galore

They say great things come in small packages and ever since I was a child, opening my stocking was one of my favorites things to do. I wanted to make sure I carried some unique stocking choices in my holiday collection and I think I chose well. A little plaid, a little neutral and a whole lot of red and pink fun with a a few pom poms thrown in for good measure.

My North Star

It’s such a special moment when you’ve trimmed your tree, had a hot cocoa break and are finally ready to top it with a star. It’s definitely a moment that we all look forward to in our family, especially Hazel. I love that we found the perfect rattan star and festive neutral pillows that bring all the light and bright to our holiday home.

Fireside Holiday

Even if you don’t have a fireplace, holiday candles can go a long way in making the atmosphere festive and cozy. I love the soft glow of candlelight year round so it’s always fun to get some holiday matches to sprinkle a little cheer here and there. I found some fun holiday-themed candle and fireplace matches to do just that.

Go Big or Go Home

If you know anything about our family, it’s that we love food. We’re all food, all the time, especially during the holidays. I managed to find one thing for my holiday collection that I knew my husband, Brett, would LOVE. It’s a beautiful wood serving board that is just over four feet long. That’s a lot of room for a gorgeous appetizer display so I know it’s going to get a lot of use in the Roth household. Look how happy (and hungry) Brett is!

A Holiday Feast

As I mentioned earlier, I made absolutely, positively sure I had so many timeless pieces for holiday entertaining in my collection. These are easy pieces that carry a simple sophistication to any table and can even be used year round. I focused on organic materials like stone, wood and natural grasses – even a luxe set of recycled stemless wine glasses and drinking glasses that reflect light and make a holiday table sparkle.

Holiday Baking with My Mini-Me

I saved the best (or at least the cutest) for last. These photos really warm my heart and make my stomach growl as I write this! Most of you know I share my holiday cookie recipes with you every year and it will be going out soon, but in the meantime, Hazel and I tested out a new cookie recipe at the cabin in our new Snow Day Aprons. Hazel had such a good time making them with me all dressed up in her chef’s hat and apron. I felt like a pro in my apron too. I was so excited to add these two pieces to the collection as well.

I made sure to order some little bowls and measuring cups that would be easy for Hazel’s to work with for our holiday baking day.

And that’s my very first Holiday collection. Thanks for following along and here’s to everyone celebrating friends, family and the season. This was just a sneak peek so you see the whole collection here and get ready for the most wonderful time of the year!
