I Did NOT Move to Utah, The Blog by Jasmine Roth

Okay, okay, let me set the record straight: I did NOT move to Utah!  The day after Christmas Brett, Hazel, my mom and I packed up the car and drove to the Tiny Mountain Home, and we’ve been here ever since.  A lot of you have been watching our experiences on social – whether I’m posting about us snowboarding, Hazel snowboarding, or just life in the Tiny Mountain Home – and you’re convinced we moved there!

I hate to burst your bubble, but I swear we didn’t move here!  I know it might seem like we did because we’ve been here for a while now, and we just sold the #11thStreetRetreat.  But our full-time home is in Huntington Beach (our house we moved to is called the #RothHomestead and I can’t wait to share all the details with you very soon!), and we’re just here in Park City, UT enjoying life in 640 square feet.

And while it might look like we’ve been on vacation while we’re here, we’re really not.  Brett and I took the week between Christmas and New Years off as vacation time, but since then we’ve been working full-steam ahead.  But when we’re not working, it’s been nice to be able to snowboard or just spend some quality time with Hazel, each other, and my mom.  We’ll probably be here until things get better with COVID in California.  We feel so fortunate to have this place to escape to, and also people to watch our house back home while we’re here.

I mean, come on, do you guys really think I could live that far from the beach full-time?!

You are so fortunate to be able to have a cabin in the high country in Utah. That is what we call it in Colorado where my husband Brent and I live. You have a lovely family and I am glad you are safe in Utah. I worry about my son and his family, my adult grandchildren and great grandchildren that live in California. We are 70 plus so we have had both of our vaccinations now. But we are still staying at home as we have for the past year. We were skiers and loved going regularly to ski at Copper Mountain about three hours from here. The quality of life is very good here. Quiet and simple and good. Be well and be safe.

Now I know who’s taking those beautiful family photos. It must be your Mom. They’re just lovely.

I don’t blame you for escaping to Utah at all and enjoying time with your family! Stay safe and enjoy every minute.
